    You know how much I love this one James – but I will say it again, one of the best senryu I have read in ages. Brilliant word choice! Just brilliant.

    I agree. If good haiku is bittersweet, then good senryu is bitterlol (like Kafka.) This is poem is both funny and horrible, which makes it remarkably effective.

    I agree with Robyn. Both haiku and senryu contain humor, but they are two very different types of humor. The humor in haiku is light and based (for me anyway) around the idea of karumi. The humor in senryu is “biting” and often jaded. Lovely work James!
