Strange how we often drop capital letters and most punctuation in haiku (although I often include them)…still, regarding “nations” or “nation’s”, I prefer the apostrophe to indicate possessive because “nations” and “nation’s” have two different meanings, whereas no capital on “sobriety” and no period after “age” does not actually change their meanings.
I like the playful reverberations in this haiku–”comes of age” for the “oldest city” (with “oldest” and “comes of age” being unexpected together)…and the “sobriety tests” that are part of “coming of age”. Nice job!
