Dick Whyte’s new series of animated gifs is HOT! Using internet search engines (Google, Alta Vista, etc.) he is attempting to reconstruct/reanimate the history of film. Here we have a “recon” of Stan Brakhage’s Mothlight (1963). These are HOT!

Obviously these are amazing! Keep making more! I’m also looking forward to an essay expanding on the theory behind these works that we’ve been talking about recently.
See you soon

Thanks again Draw – I was quite excited to get these submissions from Dick. He assures me there are a lot more of them to come. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Draw – and yes Phylis, there are a lot more of them to come. I have been trying to get it sorted, but have been having computer problems. Thanks again for putting these up on line.

Well, you know I want them for the site when you have them ready Dick – they are fucking HOT. Do you have any plans for an exhibition of them or anything??
